The DA is usually adjusted twice a year, in January and July, and is calculated based on the most recent Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW). As of July 1, 2023, the DA was increased to 42% of the basic salary. The revised rate of DA will be issued in March 2023 as per the order issued by the Finance Ministry.
